Access love, anger, jealousy, joy, vulnerability, the full spectrum of rich, human emotion. Digging Deep is an imagination-based exploration of internal techniques designed to deepen and enliven character stakes and emotional life. Never push or lie again!

The job of an actor is to be natural and important. Natural without a meaningful emotional life is simply life on the street, banal. Add importance by artificial means in the moment and it can get ugly and phony - especially on camera. By employing the tools of belief, the source of character needs and obstacles is internalized. During the work, magic simply happens! Your character’s inner life feels palpable and alive.

During “Digging Deep,” exercises, monologues and scenes combine to make the organic emotional life of character more accessible and more dynamic.

Through these tools of the imagination, actors expand to inhabit the character’s world rather than simply repeating their own. It is only through the universal imagination that actors can soar and transform.

N.B. All courses progress in a logical and consecutive sequence. Furthermore, students are frequently turned away once the maximum number of participants has been reached. For these reasons, students who begin the session agree to commit to the entire session and are, therefore, financially responsible for that session.

Testimonials

"You are a shining example of everything a teacher should be; inspired and inspiring, positive, challenging, interested, supportive, unbelievably skilled, intelligent and talented at what you are teaching us, and maybe the most important thing, you seem to love it! We are all so fortunate to have you turn your light on us, sweep us up into your beam, and inspire and help us in all the ways that you do. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!”
