A thorough and complete working approach to character creation including analysis, preparation, approaches to rehearsal, internal and external choices that both sustain and evolve throughout a role. The result: detailed and complex, dynamic and memorable characters.
Extensive use of Script Analysis, the “Trinity,” Emotional Preparation, Beats and Units, Physical and Vocal Adjustments, Emotional Homework, Risk and Experimentation. Work on two different characters and multiple scenes throughout the winter-spring session.
N.B. All courses progress in a logical and consecutive sequence. Furthermore, students are frequently turned away once the maximum number of participants has been reached. For these reasons, students who begin the session agree to complete the session and are finally responsible for the session if they attend the first session.
